Can the same background on system modelling and identification help in solving problems related to different fields?

This talk is aimed at showing how techniques and models borrowed from mechanical background, and usually employed for modelling and monitoring, can be used in different fields such as sea monitoring and human body dynamic characterization.

Different activities will be presented starting from the fields of smart devices for vibration control, human structure interaction and structural monitoring to activities aimed at the development of techniques for identifying sea state conditions and its numerical model.
